Abstract

A composition comprises (a) a copolymer of from 50-90 per cent styrene and 50-100 per cent acrylonitrile or polyvinyl chloride or a copolymer of a major proportion of vinyl chloride and a minor proportion of vinyl acetate; (b) a rubbery copolymer of butadiene-1,3 and acrylonitrile; and (c) a polymer of butadiene-1,3 or a homologue or halogenated analog thereof having not more than 8 carbon atoms or a copolymer of a major proportion of butadiene-1,3 or a homologue thereof containing not more than 8 carbon atoms with a minor proportion of styrene or methyl methacrylate or a mono-vinyl pyridine, relative proportions by weight being such that (a) ranges from 50-90 per cent of the sum of (a), (b) and (c) and that (c) ranges from 2-35 per cent of the sum of (b) and (c). Antioxidants, stabilizers such as lead carbonate and inert pigments such as titanium dioxide may also be present.
