796,232. Seals. BAYETTO, A. Nov. 29, 1955 [Feb. 25, 1955], No. 34199/55. Class 146(2) A seal of synthetic resin, e.g. polyvinyl chloride comprises a front dished section 1 having a recess with annular grooves 3, and a rear disc-shaped section 2 which fits into the recess and has annular ribs 4 which engage in the grooves 3, the rear section having a diametrically extending groove 5 to receive the rope &c. 11 to be sealed and a central recess 6 to receive the knot in the rope, and the front section having two radial diametrically opposed ribs 9 to fit inside groove 5. The tape is assembled in the rear section 2 and the latter snapped into section 1. Ribs 9 are of the same breadth but less depth than grooves 5. Section 1 has an outer depression 10 which may carry a label &c. and its periphery may be corrugated so that the seal appears as a wax or paper seal. One groove 3 and ribs 4 only, or more than two ribs and grooves may be provided.
