795,562. Endless overlapping-plate conveyers. JOCHUMS, A., and WITTKOP, E., [trading as HAUHINCO MASCHINENFABRIK G. HAUSKERR JOCHUMS & CO.]. Dec. 16, 1955 [Dec. 22, 1954], No. 36141/55. Class 78 (1). In an overlapping-plate conveyer in which the plates are carried by one or more round-link chains, and in which the spacing of the plates is equal to a multiple of the spacing of the chain links, each plate 2 is mounted on the stud 6 of a horizontal chain link 7 formed as a stud link. This is accomplished by welding a bearing member 5 to the underside of the underlapping portion 4 of each plate, member 5 having a slot whereby it embraces the stud. Member 5 is locked in position by a deformable sheet metal element 13 which is bent around a groove in the base of member 5, the ends of element 13 being widened and the widened portions being received in further grooves in member 5, into which they are pressed by pliers.
