Abstract

1374936 Endless chain conveyers AMSTEDSIEMAG KETTE GmbH 25 April 1973 [31 July 1972] 19614/73 Heading B8A An endless conveyer comprises a series of metal plates 1 which are hinged to one another by pins 4 which extend through interengaging hinge eyelets 2, 3, on the edges of adjacent links, each link also having a guide member 6 projecting from it, for guiding it along guide rails 5, the links, hinge eyelets, and guide members, being formed integrally of sheet metal. The link is formed from a blank (Fig. 7) from which the eyelets 2 and 3 are formed by bending over portions 15 and 16. Portions 18 of the blank are pressed flat against the underside of a main plate portion 14, and taps 19 are bent downwards at right angles to form the flanges 6. In a modification (Figs. 8-10, not shown), the flanges 6 may be formed by portions cut out and turned down from the portion 14. The eyelets may be tapered at 8 (Fig. 5), to provide for lateral movement of the corresponding pin 4. Otherwise the pin may be barrel-shaped (Fig. 6, not shown).
