Classes 97(1) and 98(1) A hand grip for detachably mounting a camera having a rotatable lens turret and a shutter release mounted for vertical movement on the camera front, comprises a movably mounted trigger, operable by one finger of the hand holding the grip and connected to a .claw which is positioned near the shutter release when the camera is mounted on the grip, this claw being integral with or movable within a pivoted support so that it can be moved manually to a position in which there is no interference with rotation of the lens turret In the form shown, the hand grip 1 is,attached at 3 to camera having a vertically movable shutter release 5 and a lens turret T. The grip includes a trigger 6, pivoted at 7 and connected by flexible cable 11 to a slide, movable in a cage 14 and carrying a claw 18 adapted, when the camera is mounted on the grip, to engage' the shutter release 5 so that the camera shutter can be operated by finger pressure on trigger 6 against a return spring 21. The cage 14 is slotted to allow movement of the claw 18 and is also pivoted to the grip so that it can be moved away from the position in which claw 18 engages shutter release 5. The trigger is, in another form, slidably mounted on the grip 1 and has a claw-carrying support mounted as to be pivoted thereto in such a way that the support can take up either one or two positions on either side of the operative position in which the claw engages the shutter release member.
