Abstract

794,083. Refuse containers. CARRARA & MATTA SOC. PER AZIONI. Aug. 17, 1956 [Sept. 7, 1955 ; July 17, 1956], No. 25210/56. Class 26. A refuse container comprises a receptacle 1 for refuse and a casing 2 in which the receptacle 1 occupies either of two positions, one in which it opens for filling and a second in which it is retracted, a wall 1c acting as a closing flap and having edges 3, 4 which abut edges 6 on the casing 2. The receptacle 1 oscillates about an axis so that the closed position is that of stable equilibrium, the container being portable by a handle 11. The casing is open at the bottom. The receptacle has a handle 8. In the widest open position of the receptacle 1 a pedal 9 thereon abuts against a sill 10 or a lug thereon. The receptacle and casing may be of moulded plastic.
