In a mincer in which an annular rotated trough 1 brings the meat under a series of rotating cutters 9 on shafts 8 supported on a frame 4, the frame 4 is supported at its middle by a boss 13, Fig. 7, of the casing 7 as well as at its outer ends by the upper rim of the main casing 2. The frame 4 is slotted to allow the cutters to rotate. In Fig. 7 there are several sets of cutters on each radius, so that the cutters overlap. The meat mass may be separated by stationary forks 30, Fig. 8, projecting into the cutting chamber 21, and adjustable by screws. The chamber 21 is made airtight by a packing ring 33 between the cover 27 and the casing 2 so that the chamber can be evacuated so that meat for sausages does not include air. Part of the cover 27 is hinged to open. The chamber 1 can be emptied of the minced meat by lowering by a handle 38 a deflector vane 39, Fig. 1 and a disc 37 pivoted inside the cover. The trough is rotated from a motor 42, Fig. 9, in the base by worm gear 40, 41. The blades are rotated by belts from motors 15.
