Abstract

793,933. Nails &c. ANSTALT FUR MONTAGE-TECHNIK: April 28, 1954 [April 15, 1954], No. 33166/57. Divided out of 793,932 [Group VII]. Class 89(2) An anchoring pin adapted to be driven into hard material by blows as from a hammer, particularly for use with a tool as described in Specification 793,932, comprises a shank having a penetrating point 2 at one end in which the portion 1 of the shank adjacent to the point 2 is given a slight conicity or taper converging in the direction towards the penetrating point. The angle between the generator of-the tapered portion 1 of the shank and the longitudinal axis of the pin is at least five minutes of arc and at the most 5 degrees, but preferably is about 40 minutes of arc.. The rear end 3 of the pin may be screw threaded and/or provided with a conical, part spherical or other surface for co-operation with a complementary surface on the punch or dolly of the tool.
