Abstract

793,469. Road-traffic signals on vehicles. C.A.V., Ltd. July 25, 1956 [Sept. 8, 1955], No. 25722/55. Class 118 (2). An arrangement for flashing the lamps l1, l2 in a vehicle direction indicator comprises two electromagnetic relays which interact in a circuit to cause the repeated opening and closing of a contact c1 connected between two parts s1 and s2 of the direction selecting switch, one relay having two windings r1, r1a and actuating the contact c1, and the other relay having a single winding r2 and actuating contacts c2 and c3. Contact c3 operates after contact c2. The relays are each provided with delay-action devices, such as copper slugs. Capacitor f and resistor o are conventional spark-quench devices.
