Abstract

792,817. Saws. EATON, W. A., and DONOGHUE, J. Aug. 20, 1956 [Sept. 26, 1955], No. 27313/55. Class 61. A tenon saw is provided with a depth gauge comprising a bar d which is adjustably attached to the blade b by bolts g which pass through spaced parallel slots c in the blade and are secured by wing nuts j (not shown). The bar d is of angle cross section and is provided with lugs which are drilled to receive the bolts and have ears f which co-operate with flats on the bolt heads to prevent relative turning of the bolts. A stop bar may be provided on each side of the blade. A scale may be provided adjacent one or both slots.
