792,753. Vehicle lifting devices. LEFEVRE, L. L. Dec. 7, 1955 [Dec. 7, 1954], No. 35120/55. Class 78 (3). A garage lift has arms, at one side of a lifting column, which can be turned in a horizontal plane about axes on the lifting carriage and which carry buffers to engage beneath the vehicle to be lifted. As shown, arms 4-7, carrying buffers 10, 10<SP>1</SP> are pivoted at 8 to a bracket 3 on a carriage 2 of a lifting device 1. Handles 11 on the arms 4, 7 act as ramps to assist the vehicle wheels over the arms in the lowered position of the lift, Fig. 1. The arms 5, 6 are telescopic.
