Class 142(4) A pile carpet has pile tufts T held in position by only two shots of weft 1, 5 and by an adhesive applied to the back of the carpet. Stuffer warps may be provided. The adhesive may be a compound of latex and/or conventional starches, glues, and farines. The adhesive may be aerated and applied by rollers or by a spray.
