Abstract

1,136,612. Axminster looms. T.M.M. (RESEARCH) Ltd. 11 Oct., 1966 [7 Sept., 1965], No. 38233/65. Heading D1E. A tuft yarn spool 13 is journalled in the tube frame 11 in bearings 17 on two arms 25, one or both of which carry a brake pad 29 pressing against the flange of the spool. The spool can be removed by first flexing the arms 25 towards each other to disengage pins 26 from holes in the frame, then swinging the arms complete with the spool about pivots 21, and finally flexing the arms away from each other to disengage the bearings 17 from the spool.
