790,955. Glass. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Jan. 20, 1956 [Jan. 24, 1955], No. 1995/56. Drawings to Specification. Class 56. [Also in Group XL(a)] The inner wall of the envelope of a sodium vapour discharge lamp having a rare gas filling consists of a glass containing 20-30 per cent B 2 O 3 , 20-30 per cent Al 2 O 3 and 30-60 per cent (CaO+BaO). In one example the glass has the following percentage composition, B 2 O 3 -22, CaO-10, Al 2 O 3 -22, BaO-40, K 2 O-6. In a test lamp a glass is referred to having the following percentage composition, SiO 2 -9, B 2 O 3 -51, Na 2 O-15, CaO-10, Al 2 O 3 -15.
