619,148. Enamels. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. Sept. 20, 1946, No. 28249. Convention date, April 6, 1943. Drawings to Specification. [Class 56] [Also in Groups XI, XXXVI and XL (a)] Enamel for securing a very thin metal foil to the glass wall of an electric discharge tube or incandescent lamp has a composition 65 per cent PbO, 22.4 per cent B 2 O 3 and 12.6 per cent by weight where the glass is lead or lime glass, and a composition, 17 per cent SiO 2 , 23 per cent B 2 O 3 , 25 per cent PbO, 10 per cent ZnO and 25 per cent MnO 2 for a hard glass.
