Abstract
790,743. Refrigerators. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. Aug. 23, 1956 [Sept. 8, 1955], No. 25775/56. Class 29 [Also in Group XXII] In a heat exchange plate for refrigerating systems formed by roll-bonding and subsequent dilation of passages, one of the passages is the restrictor or pressurereducing passage. As shown in Fig. 5, a single roll-bonded plate is formed with a condenser 48, a receiver 47, a restrictor passage 45, evaporator 39, accumulators 40 and a cooler 52 for gaseous refrigerant, the cold producing part being connected to the heat emitting part by narrow necks 36 to prevent thermal conduction through the plate. The cold producing part is then bent to form a box evaporator, the heatemitting part is bent at the edges to form a channel, the two parts are bent at necks 36 to be at right angles to each other and the plate is mounted in a refrigerator as shown in Fig. 1, the condenser channel forming a rear flue. The lower end of the plate is bolted to a boss 61 on the motor compressor casing 20 so that apertures in the boss register with the openings into the refrigerant passages of the plate.
