Abstract
790,458. Holders for thermionic valves. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. June 27, 1956 [June 28, 1955]. No. 19903/56. Class 38 (1). An adaptor for wire terminal valves comprises a resilient member 7 rotatably mounted on an insulating part 6 by a stud 20, the arrangement being that the valve leads 3 are inserted into eyelets 17 and into prongs 11 in member 7 and part 6, respectively, and the member 7 then rotated until leads 3 contact the walls of prongs 11, Fig. 4. Member 7 is locked in this position by its inherent resilience and by the engagement of tabs in a skirt secured to, or integral with member 7 with slots in part 6 (Fig. 2, not shown), or by some other means. A key 13 for orienting the adaptor in a holder is provided and stop-means for ensuring the initial alignment of eyelets 17 and prongs 11 may be provided.
