Abstract
789,989. Concrete &c. mixing machines. LINER CONCRETE MACHINERY CO., Ltd. and HARRISON, J. C. Feb. 1, 1956 [Feb. 1, 19551, No. 2940/55. Class 86 [Also in Groups XVIII and XXX] In a concrete &c. mixing machine of the kind comprising a hopper 3 for loading aggregate into a mixing drum,' the raising and lowering of the hopper during loading being effected by a hydraulic ram R, the control valve 9 of the ram is connected by a pipe 10 to a pressure gauge 11 which may be additionally graduated in terms of weight to indicate the weight of the aggre- gate as it is being loaded. The hopper, mounted on a frame 2 is pivoted at 1a to the machine frame 1 to which the cylinder 4 of the ram is also pivoted, and the plunger 5 of the ram is pivoted to the lower end of the frame 2. The hopper 3 may be connected by a chain 6 to a trip lever 7 adapted to close the ram control valve 9 and arrest movement of the ram when the hopper reaches its loading position. In a modification the ram mechanism is remote from the mixing machine and is connected to the hopper by cables.
