Abstract
789,098. Jet propelled aircraft. SOC. NATIONALE D'ETUDE ET DE CONSTRUCTION DE MOTEURS D'AVIATION. July 15, 1955 [Aug. 2, 1954], No. 20599/55. Drawings to Specification. Class 4. [Also in Group XXXV] In a system for automatically controlling a vertical take-off and landing, jet-propelled, aircraft about one of its axes, in which a rate of turn gyro controls the moment of jet thrust about that axis (see Group XXXV), control about the pitch axis is effected by electromagnetically operated spoilers or air jets adjusting the direction of the jet stream, and control about the roll axis is effected by blades imparting a rotary movement to the jet stream as in Specification 748,983.
