787,623. Sheet-delivery apparatus SCHNELLPRESSENFABRIK FRANKEN. THAL ALBERT & CIE. AKT.-GES. June 21, 1956 [June 29, 1955], No. 19204/56. Class 100(1) A sheet delivery device for printing machines having means for changing a stack or pile during the running of the machine, and wherein bars in the form of an auxiliary receiver for the temporary reception of the delivered sheets are displaceable in the direction of the delivery of the sheets, from a retracted position to a position above the stack, is characterized in that the auxiliary receiver is arranged below and between delivery bands and that the bars thereof in the form of a rack are displaceable in a rack guide to and fro between a position below the delivery apparatus to a position above the stack. The auxiliary receiver comprises bars 13 bolted or fixed as by bayonet joints to a yoke 12 which carries two terminals 14, 15 to which are attached the ends of chains 16. The bars 13 are guided in tubes 3 fixed to a crossbar 2 and the yoke 12 is guided by rods 4 attached to a cross-bar 5 and which pass through recesses in the yoke 12. The cross-bars 2 and 5 carry sprockets 11 and 8 over which the chains 16 pass. The chains 16 also pass over sprockets 19 on a shaft 17 operated by a hand wheel 18. The auxiliary receiver is adapted to be moved on rotation of the wheel 18 from a position below and between delivery bands 21 to a position above the stack 20.
