Abstract

786,580 False twist tubes. T.M.M. (RESEARCH), Ltd. April 26, 1956 [April 28, 1955], No. 12314/55. Class 120(2) Threads and the like are given a false twist by a hollow rotating spindle having at one end guide members around which threads are passed to follow a sinuous path in a plane normal to the axis of the spindle. The guide members may be substantially semi-circular as 19, Fig. 2, or take the form of hooked pins 21, Fig. 3. In another embodiment, one guide member only is employed of shape such that a thread passed about its surface follows a sinuous path.
