Abstract

783,541. Agricultural implements. HOWARTH, G. Sept. 14, 1955 [Sept. 22, 1954], No. 27406/54. Class 6(1). A plough is provided with a disc coulter 24 and forward thereof an inclined bar coulter unit comprising a removable tool 8 attached to a bar 2 which is slidable in a tube 1 and is fixed therein by means of screws, the tube 1 being fixed to a stirrup 3 on which is mounted the disc coulter 24. The tool 8 is arranged to lift straw or other material from the path of the disc coulter. The side edges of the tool 8 are tapered and a shoulder 11 of the tool abuts in a recess 10 formed in the bar 2.
