781,917. Moulding dental prostheses. BARBANOTTI, M. Feb. 25, 1954, No. 5524/54. Class 87(2). [Also in Graup VI] A dental prosthesis having a cavity for mounting a suction device (see Group VI) is formed by moulding the prosthesis on a dental mould 10 to which is cemented an assembly comprising a body 7 having a tailpiece 8 and carrying discs 9 of flexible material e.g. tin, and a cup-shaped member 2. After moulding the prosthesis, the assembly is extracted leaving a small cavity containing the member 2 for the reception of a securing knob of the suction device. The small cavity is surrounded by a wide shallow cavity formed by the discs 9 for receiving the cup of the suction device in use. In an alternative construction of assembly, the member 2 is made of rubber and is solid and, when the moulding is completed, is withdrawn with the assembly to leave the knob-receiving cavity.
