Abstract
747,279. Bottle &c. holders. WILLIAMS, W. P. Jan. 12, 1954, No. 923/54. Class 128. A holder for a bottle, can or drinking glass 6, has a hollow body 1 of elastic moisture-absorbent material, e.g. foam rubber with intercommunicating cells, and a base 3 of elastic moistureimpervious material, e.g. sponge rubber with non-intercommunicating cells. The rim 2 may be chamfered. A napkin loop 4, e.g. of cellular elastic material, may be attached to the body. The body and base may have approximately equal elasticities. The base may be fixed, e.g. cemented, to the end of the body or to the inner surface thereof. The base may be provided with an upper macroscopically cellular layer. The body may be made by bending a strip into a hollow, e.g. cylindrical shape and cementing its abutting ends together. Alternatively, the holder may be moulded as one piece of cellular elastic material.
