Abstract
781,363. Electric measuring systems. LINDHOLM, N. G. H., and JUSELIUS, S. O. Nov. 28, 1955 [Dec. 17, 1954], No. 34028/55. Class 40 (1). The speed of rotation of a shaft 10 is determined by an inductive pick-up comprising a coil 2 wound on a magnetized core 3 located near to the shaft so that any irregularity in the surface, e.g. a keyway 11 or a projection 12, produces a pulse in winding 2 for each revolution, which is rectified at 6 and averaged by a meter 7. The meter scale is adjusted by a series potentiometer 4 in parallel with a capacitor 5.
