A winged aerial target of the kind intended to be towed by a cable from a tug-aircraft, the components of which include a fuselage, a pair of symmetrically disposed main wings, a pair of symmetrically disposed secondary wings or stabilizers, the main wings and stabilizers being connected with the fuselage by the engagement of stub tubes or rods secured to one component within apertures or sleeves in the component to be connected thereto, such engagement being secured by locking means, the said stub tubes or rods lying in the general plane of the associated wing or stabilizer of the assembled target and being arranged so that the locking means is subjected to little or no load due to the weight of the wings or stabilisers or to the flight of the target, The fuselage comprises frames to support stub spars 26 which engage within tubes 32 secured to ribs 29 within the wing roots.
