Abstract

<PICT:0779911/III/1> A paint roller comprises a roll 11, 12 rotatably mounted on a holder 13 having a detachable handle 18 which has means, e.g. a raised apertured ferrule 19, adapted to co-operate with means for detachably securing the roll 11, 12 on the holder, e.g. a nut 17, whereby the roll 11, 12 may be removed from or secured to the holder 13. The ferrule 19 has a hexagonal aperture 19a and forms a box spanner which can enter a counter-bore 11c in a wooden cylinder 11 faced with lambswool 12, the nut 17 screwing on a threaded free end 13b of the holder 13.
