779,670. Revolving-cylinder pumps. PRESTRESSED CONCRETE CORPORATION, ORSHANSKY, E., FLAM, J., and COLNON, A. B., [trading as CROWN ENGINEERING & DEVELOPMENT CO.]. Dec. 6, 1954 [Dec. 21, 1953];. No. 35301/54. Class 102(1) [Also in Group XXIX] In a revolving radial-cylinder pump, the cylinder ports 48 open into a side face of the cylinder block 1 and co-operate with a stationary valve plate 51 which has recesses 60 in which located sleeves 58, 66, which also enter recesses. 59 in the cover plate 19 and have axial bores that connect ports 49, 50 in the valve plate with connections 53, 55; sealing rings 64, 65 are provided. The valve plate is recessed at 76 and the sleeve- 58, 66 are free in their recesses so that the faces 63 are subjected to fluid pressure to maintain the valve in contact with the cylinder block; pins 78, 79 also engage the valve plate 51 and cover 19. The cylinder block has a roller bearing 75 and the inner race 73 is clamped against a distance piece 77 by a flanged member 69, held by screws 72, which also has a flange 71 which grips a distance piece 68 and ring 67 which holds, with clearance, the valve plate 51. The reaction ring 14 has a tapered portion which contacts the pistons 11 and the cylinders have partial extensions 17 to guide the pistons. Specification 722,004 is referred to.
