777,725. Feeding sheets. CAMCO (MACHINERY), Ltd. July 15, 1955 [July 16, 1954], No. 20822/54. Class 100(1) In a drop feed roller device for feeding sheets, the movable roller 10 is carried by a yoke frame 14 which can be tilted so that the axis of the roller 10 can be adjusted relatively to the axis of the co-operating roller 42. The roller 10 comprises a number of separate narrow rollers 11 secured on a spindle 12 journalled in the vertical arms 13 of the yoke 14. Screws 17 on the yoke have plain ends rotatably mounted in a cross-bar 22 clamped by a bolt 26 to one end 28 of a bell-crank lever 29 pivoted at 36 to a fixed bracket 37. By adjusting the screws 17, the yoke 14 is tilted relatively to the bar 22, and hence the axis of the roller 10 is tilted relatively to the roller 42. The other arm 30 of the bell-crank 29 is connected by a link 31 to a slotted slide 32 embracing a cam shaft 33. The slide has a follower 34 engaging a cam 35 comprising two plate-like elements 38, 39 adjustably secured together by screw and slot means, one element being secured to the shaft 33. These elements can thus be adjusted to vary the reciprocations of the slide 32, and thus vary.the period of dwell between -the two rollers 10, 42.
