Abstract

773,618. Spectacles. GREAMES OPTICAL SERVICES, Ltd. June 27, 1955 [Nov. 2, 1954], No. 31596/54: Class 97(1) A detachable ornament for a spectacle frame has a portion shaped to bed on the edge of the upper portion of a lens and a depending portion or web on the lower edge of the ornament to engage between a face of the lens and a portion of the frame distanced from the face of the lens. As shown the ornament 1 has a bottom 5 shaped to engage the top of a lens 7 and a depending portion 6 which engages and is held between the lens and a brow bar 2 spaced from and extending behind the upper edge of the lens. The ornament may have a recess 9 to engage a screw holding the lens to the brow bar and a curved end 10 which clips with spring action on to the brow bar.
