772,187. Ashpans. ANCHANT, C. P. Oct. 21. 1955 [Aug. 31, 1954], No. 25271/54. Class 126 An ashpan for a domestic grate is provided with a two-part cover 4, 5, Fig. 1, adapted to be slid rearwardly over the pan before its removal from the grate.' Each part is mounted on a pivot 6, Fig. 3, adapted to slide in a groove 7 in a side of the pan. In their withdrawn position, the parts are supported upon hinged side flaps so as to form hobs. The pan is formed with a sieve 13 and a hinged rear wall 2 which may be opened to permit sifting of the ashes.
