[Also in Groups II, VIII and XXIII] Apparatus for use in hydrotherapy comprises a tub 10 having a side wall structure joining with a bottom wall 22, a horizontal platform 17b in the lower part of the tub and spaced above the bottom wall thereof, a concave annular wall 11b extending from a point spaced below the peripheral portion of the platform upwardly and outwardly to meet the side wall structure at a point spaced above the platform, spaced downwardly and outwardly inclined closure members 18 extending from the periphery of the platform to intermediate points on the wall 11b and defining discharge outlets 16b therebetween, and a centrifugal propeller 24b in a chamber between the platform 17b and bottom wall 22 and within and extending above and below the inner perimeter of the wall 11b. The outlets 16b are formed by substantially V-shaped members 15, the closure members 18 being fixed upon the outer edges of these members 15. The wall 11b has perforated portions separated by imperforate portions opposite the discharge openings 16b. The propeller 24b comprises radial blades and an intermediate wall 25b. When the propeller 24b is rotated liquid is circulated in the directions shown by the arrows. A portion of the water discharged through the outlets 16b returns to the propeller chamber through perforations in the platform 17b as indicated by the arrows B, the remainder passing downwardly through the perforated portions of the wall 11b as indicated by the arrows C and returning to the lower portion of the propeller chamber through an annular filter 21.
