770,931. Combine harvesters. CLAAS, A., and CLAAS, F. March 1, 1955 [Dec. 11, 1954], No. 6081/55. Class 58. A combine harvester has an electric alarm system actuated by accumulation of material in the machine or by failure of the mechanism. A flap h movably suspended from the casing of the machine is brought into engagement with an electric contact switch a and switches on an electric horn f and/or lamp g when the shaker becomes choked. A similar flap i above the screens I of the cleaning apparatus is brought into engagement with a contact switch b and switches on the alarm when the screens become choked. If the binding cord of the straw baling press breaks, its tensioning spring m or spring- tensioning weight engages a contact switch c and starts the alarm.
