Abstract

A plastic composition comprises up to 30 per cent thermoplastic resin binder, e.g. coumaroneindene or a plasticized polystyrene, together with filler and pigments and 1-10 per cent, relative to binder, of lecithin. Mineral oil may also be present. Specified fillers and pigments are asbestos, limestone, titania and organic dyes.ALSO:A plastic composition comprises up to 30 per cent thermoplastic resin binder together with filler and pigment and 1-10 per cent, relative to binder, of lecithin. Binders specified are coumarone-indene resin, asphalt, unitaite or their mixtures, polystyrene or a modified phenol-formaldehyde resin. Plasticizers, e.g. mineral oil, and also vegetable pitch may be present. Preferred fillers are limestone and asbestos, whilst titania and organic dyes are specified pigments.
