Class 20(2) A waler bracket for concrete forms, which comprises an E-shaped member 11 having a part 17 adapted to be secured against the side 12 of a rectangular wooden stud 13, is formed with offset parts 14, 15 adapted to engage the outer face 16 of the stud 13 and has a part constituted by arms 18,. 19, 20 which project outwardly from the face 16 of the stud to define a pair of vertically spaced horizontal slots 28, 29 dimensioned to receive a pair of vertically superimposed waler members 26, 27, the outer ends of the slots 28, 29 being closed off for retaining the walers therein by means which, in the embodiment of Fig. 1, consists of a slotted wedge 31 engageable upon an extended central arm 19 and cooperating with a cross pin 46. In another embodiment, Fig. 3 (not shown), the outer ends of the arms 18, 19, 20 have coaxial eyelets adaptaed to receive a nail or the like which serves to retain the walers in the slots 28, 29. The brackets may be secured to. the stud 13, either by double headed nails driven through holes 35, Fig. 1, or by means of a lever 72, Fig. 7, pivoted between flanges 74 on the bracket and having, a pointed lug 71 which can be driven into the stud by striking a head 84 on the lever. The lever 72 may be secured by a nail passed through openings 81 in the flanges 74. A head 85 on the lever 72 is provided, which can be struck when it is desired to withdraw the lug 71 in order to remove the bracket.
