Abstract
769,597. Counting-apparatus. LICENCIA TALALMANYOKAT ERTEKESITO VALLALAT. Nov. 12, 1954 [Nov: 13, 1953; June 24, 1954]; No. 32798/54. Class 106 (1). In a predetermining counter each of the number wheels is associated with a ring adjustable with respect to the number wheel and provided with a cam which co-operates with one of a group of balls located in a guide and forming switch actuating means. The counter comprises a casing 1, Fig. 1, containing three number wheels 11, 14, 16 interconnected by transfer mechanism and rotatable on a shaft 2, the revolutions of which are to be counted. The first order wheel 11 is connected to a disc 7 having ten equally spaced pins 8 which cooperate successively with the forked end 4 and the driving projection 6 of a ring member 5 controlled by an eccentric 57 on the shaft 2 so that for each revolution of the shaft 2 the disc 7 and number wheel 11 are rotated a tenth of a revolution. Adjustably located by screws 21 on the numeral wheels are corresponding rings 17, 18, 19. The number wheels 11, 14, 16 and their associated rings have cams 22, 23, 24, 37, 38, 39, Fig. 3, which co-operate with balls 27, 29, 31, 40, 42, 44 arranged, as shown in Fig. 3, in guides 25, 26 in each of which two other balls 28, 30, 41, 43 are also located. When the counter number wheels are at zero the cams 22, 23, 24 push the balls 27, 29, 31 into the guide 25 so that a tappet 33 is moved outwardly to rock a lever 34 which moves a switch actuating arm 49 against the pressure of a spring 36. When the counter is driven the arm 49 moves back until the counter reaches the pre-set number, whereupon the cams 37, 38, 39 on the rings 17, 18, 19 push the balls 40, 42, 44 into the guide 26 so that a tappet 46 is moved 'outwardly to rock a lever 48 which moves the switch actuating arm 49. The switch actuated by the arm 49 may effect starting, stopping or reversing of associated apparatus. If desired, only one guide member 25 or 26 and set of balls may be provided.
