688,259. Addressing-machines. ADDRESSOGRAPH-MULTIGRAPH CORPORATION. Feb. 23, 1950 [Feb. 24, 1949], No. 27182/51. Divided out of 688,221. Drawings to Specification. Class 100(ii) In a series printing machine in which printing devices having tabs or other identifying means thereon are passed in sequence through a sensing station and then through one or more other stations where they control one or more machine operations, such as printing or computing operations, depending upon the results obtained at the sensing station, there is provided a selector mechanism which determines the manner in which the sensing operation effects the machine operations, this mechanism comprising a selector shaft which is rocked by a sensing head to different angular positions, a number of differently-shaped, axiallyspaced control discs on the shaft which are axially adjustable to operative position, and means co-operating with a selected disc in operable position and adapted to control the machine operations in accordance with the angular positions to which the shaft is rocked by the sensing head. The machine is substantially as described in Specification 688,221.
