Abstract

768,623. Stencilling. DUBUIT, L. G. April 22, 1955 [April 30, 1954], No. 11754/55. Class 100(2) Paper or like material is printed by a stencilling process using a thermo-fluid ink and a stencil screen heated to melt the ink, the paper also being heated so that when it is under the screen its temperature is approximately that of the screen. The screen may be heated by infra-red radiation or by passing an electric current therethrough; the squeegee may also be heated electrically. The paper may be heated immediately prior to or during printing; in the latter case an electrically-heated supporting plate is provided which may have suction devices for holding in position the paper to be printed. A suitable ink which dries instantaneously comprises "Santolite'' (Registered Trade Mark) 40 grams, "Adhex" resin 50 grams, and pigment 10 grams.
