922,363. Measuring for wearing apparel. F. W. R. DRAKE. Sept. 29, 1961 [Sept. 18, 1961], No. 33313/61. Class 141. A measuring device in the form of a transparent or opaque jacket is cut from cardboard, metal &c. patterns (Fig. 1) which are printed in the shaded areas with numbered graduated lines parallel to the direction of the arrowed lines. The graduated lines are transferred to the jacket material by means of parallel notches or holes using cellulose paint, printers' ink or the like. The jacket is made up by sewing or welding the component pieces and is used for measuring by placing on a figure and adjusting with paper clips to bring the appropriate graduated lines together. The original pattern can then be altered using the corresponding selected lines noted on the jacket as guides, and the actual cloth may be cut from the altered patterns.
