Abstract
767,733. Packages. ASHE LABORATORIES, Ltd. April 15, 1955 [April 30, 1954], No. 12642/54. Class 94(1). An acid-containing liquid 2 is enclosed in a polyethylene envelope 5 having its bottom edges 7 heat-sealed to each other within the bottom seam 8 of an outer envelope 6 having an open mouth 9, solid material 4 such as a carbonate or bicarbonate being placed in the outer envelope. At least one of the walls 10, 11 and 12 of the main envelope is readily rupturable by manual pressure to allow mixing of the liquid and solid, the envelope 6 being large enough to accommodate the foam thus produced. In modifications (not shown) opposed walls of an envelope are heat-sealed together to form a rectangular or triangular pocket enclosing the liquid and a compartment for the solid material, the seam separating the compartment and pocket being rupturable by the application of manual pressure.
