767,445. Heating-radiators in walls and ceilings. KONANZ, A. May 26, 1954 [May 26, 1953; Aug. 1, 1953], No. 15595/54. Class 64(2) Heating pipes 1 with attached metal plates 2 are embedded in a wall or ceiling or are suspended therefrom, the plates supporting plaster 6 and having slots, at least in pairs, transverse to a pipe axis, each pair of slots being formed by bending a strip 3, between a pair of cuts in a plate, out of the plane of the plate. In Fig. 1 two parallel rows of strips 3 are shown on one side of a pipe 1. The plates 2, e.g. of aluminium, are formed with part-cylindrical portions 7 to clamp on the pipes 1 and may be in long strips each clamped to several pipes as in Fig. 5, the portions between the pipes being bowed downwards so that the centre portions are nearest the surface of the plaster layer for increased heating there. The edges of adjacent plates have interengaging, V-shaped beads. Clamps 14 bolted to suspension straps 11 grip the spring clamping portions 7 of the plates while webs 15 below these portions may be riveted together.
