Abstract

767,349. Dispensing pumps. HILL, S. D. Sept. 23 1955 [Oct. 1, 1954], No. 28288/54. Class 102(1) A dispenser for semi-liquid material comprises a container 10 secured to an upright support 45 by means of a plate 43, studs 46 and wing nuts 49 within the container which is closed by a lid 52 secured by recessed head screws or screw and peg which enter a groove 54. A downwardly directed outlet 11 in the bottom of the container 10 is supplied by a plunger pump with its rod 15 protruding from the container above the opening 11 so that the pump may be operated by the heel of a hand, the fingers of that hand receiving the slot from the opening 11. The pump comprises a cylinder 22 including an inlet valve 31, held against a shoulder 25 of a boss 21 by a spring 23 the other end of which is engaged by a nut 19 screwed in to the boss 21 by a special key. The plunger 15 is screwed to a sleeve 36 carrying a head 35 incorporating a bracket valve 38 and a cup washer 37. A filter 56 is included in the container.
