Abstract

767,333. Two-part couplings. BELLING & LEE, Ltd. May 31, 1955 [July 28, 1954], No. 22014/54. Addition to 676,144. Class 38 (1). The cover 1 of a plug comprises two parts hinged by an integral flexible web 23, the plug contact 10 passing through an aperture in the hinge and being housed in complementary recesses in the two parts which are secured together by press stud fastenings 27, 28. A thermoplastic material such as p.v.c. or polythene or rubber is used for moulding the cover. The plug contact may be replaced by a socket contact wholly or partly housed in the cover. The arrangement is also adapted to a plurality of plug and/or socket members in a single housing.
