Divided out of 766,996 [Group XX] Class 75(4) [Also in Group XX] An illuminating device suitable for making sequential exposures in the contactscreen resist-transfer method of the original Specification 766,996 comprises a horizontal arm 63 supported from a bracket 60 and carying lamp housing 66 with bulb L to shine through an opening 72 in the arm 63 containing a light diffusing medium or lens; and a single disc 79 fitted with filters 80, 81, 82, 83 on the opposite side of the arm 63 mounted on a shaft 78 for rotation in bearings 76, 77 in tubular sleeve 75 fixed to the arm 63, whereby the light may be modulated with any one of the filters. The shaft 78 may be driven by gearing 85, 86 from a motor 91. Timing mechanisms to control operation of the device are referred to briefly.
