731,722. Lamps combined with speedometers. VDO TACHOMETER WERKE A. SCHINDLING GES. Dec. 23, 1952 [Dec. 24, 1951; May 3, 1952], No. 32629/52. Class 75 (3). [Also in Group XIX] A combined speedometer 6 and bicycle headlamp 1, Figs. 1 and 2, is characterised in that the speedometer housing, in transverse section, corresponds to a trapezium with rounded corners. The reflector 3 has an opening 11 so that the light from the lamp 4 illuminates the speedometer dial and pointer either by passing through a slot 10 in the speedometer housing or by making the speedometer housing wholly or in part of transparent or translucent material. The speedometer is driven by a flexible shaft 13 which is connected to a support 15 which passes through a fixed plate 16.
