Abstract

499,412. Indicating-apparatus. CHURCHILL, C. M. July 29, 1937, No. 21038. [Class 106 (iv)] A speedometer dial is illuminated by a lamp D in a housing C riveted to the glass-retaining ring B. A spacing ring E is provided between the glass and the dial (not shown), the ring having a gap G for the passage of light. The lamp housing C and the instrument casing A also have apertures F, H respectively. The spacing ring E may be split to facilitate insertion and may be coloured or be plated as a reflector.
