Abstract

766,719. Capsuling machines. KORK-NSEAL, Ltd. Aug. 30, 1955 [Aug. 31, 1954], No. 25230/54. Class 125(2). In a capsuling machine of the kind including a flexible cup 16 forming one wall of a liquid containing chamber 15 and effecting capsuling when the liquid pressure is increased by inward movement of a piston 36 in its bore, the piston is sealed by a leather washer 42 having a flange 50 extending for a distance equal to at least a fifth of the bore diameter towards the chamber 15, the flange being urged outwards by a rubber cylinder 43 clamped by nuts 45 between a washer 44 and the piston.
