Abstract

766,450. Transformers. REYROLLE & CO., Ltd., A. June 17, 1955 [March 19, 1954], No. 8153/54. Class 38 (2). [Also in Group XXXVII] A switch-gear cable termination chamber 10 carries an externally-mounted detachable current transformer whose primary winding 31 is wholly embedded in a moulded insulating block 32 of synthetic resin and connected electrically to terminals 17, 18 within the cable chamber. The secondary winding and transformer core 35 may also be embedded in the block 32 which has an integral projecting bushing 33 insulating the terminal leads 34 of the primary winding. The block may be of the material known under the Registered Trade Mark " Araldite " and may be sprayed with metal or otherwise covered with an earthed metal casing. In a three-phase system the current transformers may be formed as a complete composite three-phase moulded unit. Specification 756,074 is referred to in the Provisional Specification.
