A dial pressure gauge is provided in the casing of the usual manual valve near the delivery end of a hose conveying compressed air for inflating tyres &c. and the gauge is connected to the return hose leading to the usual fixed gauge and connected to measure the pressure in the body being inflated only when the valve is operated to close the supply of compressed air. In the form illustrated the casing 33, Fig. 2, of the gauge is integral with the casing of the valve. The valve 17, Fig. 3, can be depressed, to permit air to pass from a bore 13 to a nipple 25 connected to a tube leading to a tyre connector, by a stem 18 containing a bore 27 which is closed when the stem 18 is depressed by a knob 19 to unseat the valve 17 but which is normally open so that the pressure in the space 23 is communicated through a bore 30 to a return pipe leading to the fixed gauge and to a bore 31 leading to the gauge 32. A manually operated valve 26 permits air to be released from the nipple 25. The valve may have concentric nipples 11, 12 as shown for connection to' twin concentric hoses or may have separate nipples for the supply and return pipes. The dial 39, Fig. 2, of the gauge may be turned to adjust it to show the same reading as the fixed gauge. The valve casing and gauge casing may be encased in rubber leaving only the gauge face and the valve operating buttons exposed.
