Class 38(5) A snap-action switch has a moulded body with slot-like recesses 14, 19, 26, in the sides to form profiled sections 6, 7, 8, so that conductor strips 15, 21, 27, may be slidably located in the slots and kept in position by the side walls of a cover 52. The conductor strips are provided with terminal connections 18, 25, 31, at their outer ends; the inner ends of the strips 15 and 21 form fixed contacts 16 and 23. The inner end of strip 31 forms the pivot for a moving contact arm 32 which together with a lever 37 and spring 44 form the snap-action toggle mechanism. The lever 37 is pivoted in a recess 39 in the body A push button 48 acts on the lever 37 against the action of a return spring 47. In the switch described conductor strips are disposed on both sides of the body to form a symmetrical double pole switch. Bushings 58 are inserted through holes in the casing and body, to provide holes for mounting the switch by means of bolts.
